Houston, I'm Coming Home!

I am Houston bound and couldn't be more excited!!  Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Australia, but it doesn't have anything on the good 'ole US of A!  It's only going to take me 31 hours (YUCK!!) - 21 on a plane and 10 in airport transit - but I will get there sooner or later.

K is taking the Boards as we speak - wish him luck!  He has been so nervous and stressed!  I'm ready to see him!  2 weeks away is a LONG time!

First thing I'm doing once I get home - HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW & RODEO!!! 

Jersey Boys? Yes, please!

We are going to see the Jersey Boys tomorrow night at Melbourne's Princess Theatre!  What a way to spend my last night in Australia!!

I'm Headed DOWN UNDER!!

T-24 hours and I'll be Australia bound!  Brisbane and Melbourne, here I come!  It will be a hectic 2 weeks of working in a new country, but boy, will it be worth it.  Work hard, play harder.

I PROMISE to be a better blogger when I get back, but right now, I'm focused on buying tickets to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane so I can hug this little guy!!!

But I should really be doing this...

2 weeks worth of SUMMER clothes needed, and I haven't even started - Ahhh!!

Just my Luck

As I mentioned in the previous post, I'm about to be quite the jet-setter.  Today, I leave for Lubbock for 3 days only to come home for a few hours, and turn around to head to College Station.  God, I LOVE recruiting and on campus interviews. (insert touch of sarcasm here)  I was really excited to get out of the big city for awhile until K sent this in an email...

"Winter storm warning announced for Lubbock"

Are you freakin' kidding me?!  I.DON'T.DO.SNOW.  That's why I live in Houston.  Wish me luck!!

I Know, I Know... I have been so M.I.A.

So sorry bloggy lovelies that I have neglected y'all!  It's been a whirlwind past 2 weeks.  GREAT news at work though - I am able to start recruiting again - Praide the Lord!  Thank you, recovering (slowly, but surely) economy!! Needless to say, I have been getting a little stir crazy at my desk. 

I feel like this guy. Ugh!

Obvs, I'm MOST excited for Australia, but at this point, it ALL rocks my world!!

This travel comes at the perfect time too.  K has Boards coming up in mid March, and I have been told asked to make myself scarce.  Apparently I'm too much of a distraction?!?!  I don't see it.

Sick as a Dog...

So I have been under-the-weather for what feels like a million 8 or so days, and just as I thought I was getting better, I have a coughing attack at the office.  I'm pretty sure I just threw my back out. Is that possible?!  FML.

My bestie, Martha, got married this past weekend in New Orleans. MOST.FUN.WEDDING.EVER.  I'm pretty sure I won the award for the drunkest bridesmaid.  Classy, right?!  This may or may not be why I am still sick...
